It is a love triangle gone bad and almost cost this family their entire home and even their life.

"I just closed my eyes for a minute and when I closed my eyes, my girlfriend yelled 'fire' and that is how we ran out.

Today Marcus Williams recalled what happened early this morning as he gave the story in details. According to him, the entire commotion began last night - when his sister and her ex boyfriend- who were socializing at his house - was joined by her sister's current boyfriend. The gathering didn't go too well - in fact a fight broke out between the two men.

"Thomas started to quarrel with Darren and Darren quarrel with Thomas also and that is how the fight started, and they ended up at the back of the neighbour's house on the septic tank and afterwards Thomas said that he would burn down the house and shoot us up."

Monica Bodden
"That's the ex-boyfriends of your sister (Thomas)?"

Marcus Williams
"Yes ma'am, after he said that, I said that I would not go to sleep because I knew he would come back because that's the kind of person he is."

But Williams did fall asleep and said he was awakened by a loud sound.

Marcus Williams
"We didn't smell any smoke, we just saw the blaze, we just heard "vup" and when we heard "vup" that is when my sister got up and said fire and we ran out."

According to Williams - Premium gasoline was used to start the blaze. It is believed it was thrown through this hole - which is the bedroom that he along with his girlfriend and three other children was sleeping inside at the time.

"It was Premium gasoline he used, when I was trying to out the fire the fire didn't want to go out, so I had to move the plastic bottle and throw it into the yard and that is how we were trying to manage the fire. We call the fire engine and the fire engine came with no water in its pump, then a second fire engine came with the same problem, after that the house was blazing more. They manage to get some water from the fire engine and that is how they manage to out the fire."

Williams strongly believes that his sisters EX started the fire due to the incident that happened earlier.

"Now all this happen because your sister ex-boyfriend was here? She still talk to her ex- boyfriend which is the father of one of her child? Her ex-boyfriend was here and also her current boyfriend came to the house?"

Marcus Williams
"It was jealousy, that happen and that is why he tried to burn down the house and kill his only son Brent."

Monica Bodden
"What proof do you guys have that it was him?"

Marcus Williams
"He said it, and he left his cap in this tub and his litter because he got frighten when my sister screamed he leave the lighter because he wanted to put it under the house, he didn't want to put the lighter beside the house but under the house. So when she screamed he ran."

Notably, The fire department says it has no evidence or indication that it was arson. They say the fire was first seen on the curtain and then spread to the roof.
