On Monday we told you about the chaos that unfolded on Saturday night at the Miami Beach Resort as Prime Minister Dean Barrow addressed a group of Belizean Americans.
The building had to be evacuated and the prime minister was whisked away by the U.S. secret service after a man was killed on the hotel's 10th. floor and authorities said a suspicious scent was detected.
There was no poison gas but there was a man dead, and now the circumstances surrounding his death are becoming clearer.
Miami Police yesterday identified the man as 38-year-old Russian, Roman Gubanov.
According to the Miami Herald, Gubanov and a friend allegedly hired prostitutes but the party came to an end when a pimp showed up and shot Gubanov. The pimp and the prostitutes were able to get away before police arrived.
A man covered in blood identified himself as Gubanov's friend and told police he witnessed the shooting on the resort's 11th floor. That's what created the security scare and the prime minister's event had to be suddenly aborted.
