Thirty five year old X-Ray technician and concert promoter Jobi Yorke, became an inmate of Hattieville prison today when he was remanded to prison after he was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm.
Forty five year old Carol Young, a chef residing at Maxboro Sandhill, reported to the police that at about 5:30 A.M. on Tuesday, June 29th, she was awakened by a knock on her door. She said she got up and asked who it was but did not get any reply. She said the knocking continued and got louder, and when she asked again who it was, the person said, Kevin. She said she opened the door because Kevin is a neighbour.
She said the person whom she identified as Jobi, told her to tell her son and another person to bring back his bicycle because he has them on camera. She said the person then reached into the waist of his pants and took out a firearm and pointed it at her, causing her to fear for her life. Yorke received bail form the Supreme Court.
