Ten years ago - if an artist had a music video - it was considered to be something special - even if the video itself wasn't all that special.
That's because production costs were prohibitively high - and anyone who got a video produced either had an "in" with a production house or had the backing of big bucks.
But in the era we're living in where access to media has been democratized by computer editing and low cost high definition cameras, if you've got the hookup, getting a video produced is simple and inexpensive.
And now, with the proliferation in production, the problem isn't getting a video produced, it's getting it noticed.
And that's why an artist called Reality Youth is trying to make a difference. He's deeply religious and says that he's making music videos into his ministry. He explained how he hopes two recent videos he released can drowned out bad vibes from Gully, Gaza and all points between:....

"Because we are living in a day and time, that there are a lot of young people that are into all kinds of music, they are into Cartel, Movado, Busy Signal and that kind of music. I am not here to "bash" on no one, but I am being reality, those kind of music influence a lot of young people to do the wrong things. God is the one that gave me this inspiration and he is the one that gave me this insight on how to get to young people in these times and he showed me that, by you bringing out music that not only make sense but to educate this younger generation, is to set an example for these kids that are living in these times, and there are a lot of kids that are getting adopt to the kind of music that I am bringing out because they realize it's not only gospel music, they realize it's a message that I am bringing out. You have some churches that don't believe that this kind of gospel to bring out. These hip hop riddim or reggae riddim, there are some churches that are not fully agreeing with it, but this is a message. I want to say to all the churches, it's not about the riddim, because God will not hold you accountable of instruments, he will hold you accountable of words, so it's the word that play the big roll, it's the word."
