"He is a nice person, that is all I can say he was a nice person because when he has a little money he always share with his children, so I don't know why they had to take away his life from him , form his 6 children."

"I feel shaken and all this afternoon because the kids done really live with me, they live with him right here, because we done live together, I use to always come out and if the children to buy a bread or something I would buy it for the children. So I don't know why they had to take away my children's' father from them my kids are young get."

"About 2-2:30pm i was just sitting doing some paper work and stuff as usual inside, and that is when they text me and said Nicholas your father just got shot. But from earlier on you could heir the ambulance and the police but I never expect nothing much just another murder or anothershooting as usual."

"Yes, things happen right, you just have to live with the best of it for right now. I don't know who would have wanted to do that, but as the thing goes on, they always have a back and forth with his woman, but i don't know how that goes. Maybeit's the wrong target like they say, Maybe the wrong person, but at the end of the day only God can be the judge of that. Just like a normal father would be with them kids you know. He just try's to be there for us as usual and make sure everything goes well at the end of the day you know, He works hard but that is just his way of living."

"Seven."

"Now when you got the new you went straight to the Hospital?"

"To tell you the truth, I didn't even reach to the hospital. The way I am feeling right now, I would drop right down."

At news time we spoke to the grandmother of 8 year old Marques Mahler who says he is now out of the operating theatre and is showing signs of improvement. Again the shooting incident happened around 12:30 this afternoon at number 40 Faber's Road Extension.

Police do not know what motivated it but they have gotten a trace on the car - which was sold just this week. Police suspect gang involvement.
