There is a dribble of information coming into Seven News tonight about the sudden death of one of the Cuban Embassy's functionaries, which we reported on yesterday. The customarily tight lipped diplomatic mission declined our request yesterday for an interview after we were tipped off about the incident. However we are learning that the preliminary reports given to us yesterday have in fact turned out to be true. The police are reporting that the person who died at the Cuban Embassy is 68 year old Cuban national, Joaquin Hilberto Farrill Pedroso. Farrill Pedroso worked at the embassy in a dual role, as Accountant and Head of the Cuban Medical Brigade. He was found lying face up on the second floor of the two story Embassy Headquarters in Buttonwood Bay, Belize City, by the embassy's secretary. Foul play is not suspected.
