Just as the city is recovering from the murder of an innocent child, a sixteen year old female minor of Biscayne Village - is tonight hospitalized at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital after she was shot shortly after eight last night. The threat started to appear at 7:20 pm, when the teenager was standing at the corner of Western and Electric Avenues in the Lake Independence Area along with her friend and two young men - when they noticed three men riding past on separate bicycles from the direction of Western Avenue. About forty five minutes later, they saw two of the men ride past again and; one pulled out a firearm and fired one shot at them hitting the sixteen year old minor in the left lower foot, to the left upper thigh, and to the right foot. She is currently listed in a stable condition at the KHMH.
