Alleged Gunman Guzman On Remand
posted (July 13, 2010)
Twenty three year old Allan Guzman, one of three persons who the police believe committed two robberies at a meat shop, was charged with two counts of robbery when he appeared today in the number 3 Magistrate's court. Guzman pleaded not guilty. Magistrate Kathleen Lewis explained to him that the court cannot offer him bail because the offences were committed with a firearm. She remanded him into custody until August 16th.

The incident occurred around Ten Thirty A.M. on April 11th. Seventeen year old Angel Castillo, a butcher at M and A meat shop on Central American boulevard reported to the police that he was serving a customer, Ingrid Ramirez, when three men entered and one of them pointed a pistol at him and Ramirez.

Castillo said the culprits stole a cell phone from Ramirez and they also stole his cell phone and Four Hundred Fifty dollars from the cash pan. The police investigated and after three months, their investigation led them to Gusman. The other two suspects are still at large.
