Privy Council Says Kirk Gordon Did Not Murder
posted (July 21, 2010)
In July of 2006, Kirk Gordon was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison, but according to reports, the Privy Council has set aside his conviction and sentence, reduced his conviction to manslaughter and remitted the case to the Belize Court Of appeal for sentencing.

Gordon was convicted of the November 2003 killing of Arthur Ellis on Kraal Road. The two got into an altercation when Gordon reportedly asked Ellis to move his van out of the way so he could drive out of his yard. Ellis refused and that is when he claims Ellis put a knife to his throat and threatened him. Gordon responded by lashing Ellis across his head with a '2 by 4' and killing him.
