As we reported, highly placed government sources told us the reason she left in a huff was because she could not get along with the Director Of Public Prosecutions Cheryl Lynn Vidal.

In fact, today on Purcells' Facebook page, she posted the following: "there was no point in sticking around just for her to be constantly trying to get at me. Now she has tenure, a monster has been created."

Very strong words and today when we asked the DPP about it, she was floored. Vidal told us that she was supposed to meet with Purcell, Minster Singh and Commissioner Jeffries today and has at no time avoided meeting with Purcell.

Vidal, said, quote: ""I am Extremely surprised by her sudden departure and even more surprised that the relationship between the two of us would be advanced as the reason for that departure...." It continues,

"Since I have returned to the office as director on July first I have had no contact with her... the rumors going around about any argument that we may have had are absolutely untrue because there has been no contact with her and hardly any for most of the year...."
