Last night we told you about the attempted murder complaint against pretend-policeman Aaron Wilson. He allegedly fired two shots after Jermyn Galvez after a dispute at a local pub.

Well, while that is the most serious offence he's been accused of, it is only one of apparently many pulled off by this play-play police.

In fact, information coming in to 7news is starting to reveal the full, staggering scope of his elaborate fraud. For starters, he has a criminal record. Police press officer Fitzroy Yearwood told us on Tuesday that he had no criminal record. Well, it turns out he did and it was a very recent one at that.

According to information, Wilson pleaded guilty to theft in Cayo on twelfth March 2010 and was fined 800 dollars. He also had a conviction for harm, in Cayo as well.

But none of that played any role when he came to Belize in late March or early April. One of the first things he did was apply to be - you guessed it - a special constable at City hall. We found out more today.

Jules Vasquez Reporting
This is a photocopy of the police identification card that Aaron Adony Wilson used - it says he is a Scene of Crime Technician assigned to the Belmopan station. He affixed this and his social security card to an application he lodged with the City Council in early April to be - of all things - a special constable. The doe-faced Wilson happily states in his work history that he has been a police officer from July of 2008 to the present earning $1,400 dollars a month. Asked the reason for leaving that job? He reports, "Has not left as yet."

On the other side, the fraud continues where he states that he is a constable working in Belize City and had been previously stationed in Belmopan and Cayo. An absolute fraud - and Acting Mayor Phillip Willoughby told us he's happy the council saw through the charade.

Phillip Willoughby, Acting Mayor
"Yes it came to me as a surprise but again like every applicant or person who applies for a job here on my watch we try to be very careful of who we employ as well as to be very meticulous of who and the type of characters will be employed."

From what we've been told Wilson lost points in the job interview because he told them that he was on duty when the shootout happened in front of Holy Redeemer on March 25th. and that left him shook, scared to do police work.

Phillip Willoughby
"I think within the interview structure we have here, he didn't qualify. So automatically he disqualified himself, but as far as the credentials goes, looking at the police ID I guess now all that has unravelled itself, he could have put one over on anyone."

And indeed according to information unearthed by police in their investigation, he did dupe one branch of the City council - which is the traffic department. It happened in July when Wilson was trying to get a driver's license and to prove that he lived in the city, he showed up with a letter which he said was from his commanding officer.

It was complete with what looks like the real letterhead of the police department and these are low resolution images of that letter - which were leaked out to us. The letter purports to be written by the Officer Commanding At The Patrol Branch, Superintendent Linden Flowers. It even has what's supposed to be his signature.

The letter states that police constable number 406 Aaron Wilson was transferred from San Ignacio to the Raccoon Street station and is now living on Fredrick Street with his girlfriend.

And while it's convincing, it's just one more fake. Flowers told us that he never wrote any such letter, never even met Aaron Wilson and is "as disgusted as he can be" about the forgery of his signature. He added that as a police officer of some standing, he is also embarrassed to have his name brought into this.

But it seems there's a lot more embarrassment to go around for the police department. According to our reports he was even allowed to sign for a regulation firearm at Eastern Division.

He also tried to get into the police training school earlier this year and did take the written test, but was sent home after they found out that he had a conviction for harm.

Additionally, today's Guardian newspaper reports that a night club owner claims that Wilson would visit his establishment to harass his patrons - and on one such occasion he allegedly drew a firearm and pointed it at a Customs officer who was a patron.

And one person called into WAVE Radio's Fus thing Da Mawning claiming that Wilson stopped him while he was driving a vehicle because he was driving drunk. Wilson, claimed the caller, took 400 dollars and his cell phone from him and then proceeded to throw away the driver's keys. And while those allegations are out there, as far as we could find out, no formal complaint about those alleged misdeeds has been made.
