“Nolle pros” in Cold Blooded Cayo Killing
posted (September 2, 2010)
When Albert Wade was killed in Cayo in April of 2006, it made the headlines as a senseless and cold blooded murder: Friend kills friend.

Now more than four years after the execution style killing, the justice system is nowhere near to bringing anyone to justice for Wade's death to justice.

Today in the Belmopan Supreme Court, a nolle pros was entered on behalf of the man charged with the murder, 26 year old Linsbert Bahadur.

Senior Crown Counsel Cecil Ramirez entered the nolle prosequi because Dr. Mario Estradabran, who conducted the post mortem examination on Wade, was to testify today but is presently out of the country.

The murder charge stems from a shooting incident which took place on April 14th, 2006. Bahadur was charged along with two other men, Benjamin Peters and Samuel Neal who after charges were dropped against both him and Peters, turned chief witness for the prosecution.

Neal testified that he drove Bahadur to Negroman Road in Benque Viejo, Bahadur got out of the vehicle and walked a short distance.

Neal said Wade then drove up in a car immediately after which he heard the sound of a gunshot.

Crown Counsel Ramirez called 8 witnesses at the trial which began on August 23rd.

Today, Bahadur was re-arrested and will be arraigned on a new indictment for Wade's murder on Monday, September 6th. Bahadur is being represented by Attorney, Linsbert Willis. The trial judge was Justice Troadio Gonzalez.
