Two Drownings Reported
posted (September 20, 2010)
Two men are reported to have died from drowning.

On Saturday a little after 10, Belize City police responded to a call at the Belize River near Conch Shell Bay where they saw the lifeless body of a man known only as "Boca Cadle" of Hattieville Village floating face down in the river. The body which showed no signs of violence was retrieved from the water and taken to the KHMH where it awaits a Post Mortem. Police don't suspect foul play.

While Boca Cadle's death is believed to be drowning, the same is suspected in a separate incident that same day. Dangriga police were called to the Benguche Area where they discovered the body of forty year old Lenard Diego a laborer of that town tangle din some mangroves. Speculations are that Diego may have drowned but police says that at this time the cause of death is unknown.
