Death Threats From An Ex
posted (September 27, 2010)
An angry Gracela Castillo, a twenty nine year old school warden visited us today to complain about some very disturbing and threatening text messages she has been receiving from her ex.

Castillo was living with the accused man for a year when she ended what she says was an abusive relationship. But today a year later after that breakup she is still being harassed by that man even after a number of reports to the police. Not having anywhere else to turn she came to us for help:…

Gracela Castillo, being threaten
"They have this young man who is call George Matthews; he cannot leave me alone, he sends me texts and I don't have anything to do with him. I just tired of him and I just want him to leave me alone. I went to the police station and those low life police officers, instead of them doing their job they just turn me down. Instead of them reading the text to see what is happening; they just read 1 text and say that the man love me; I don't love him. If I love him I would have come to the station any at all or come here. I just want him to leave me alone and keep my children out of his business because he has children too. He has his woman; why doesn't he leave me alone. I don't want him any at all. He is talking about burning down my house. Why would he do that when he didn't put anything in there? I don't want anything with that young man; I just want him to leave me alone. I want him to stop text me because I don't have anytime to text him. He came to my job; why would he come to my job for? You know how much report I have made to the police station and nothing didn't come out of that. The police didn't even go and pick him up. He text me and say that he will kill me and the police will not do anything about that.; why? Because they don't even go and look for him. He text me sometimes saying that he is under my house or he will come to my house and that I will see what he will do to me. I don't have anything to do with that young man. I go many times to the police station to make report and nothing comes out of it. Watch my eye; if you watch my eye, I have a cut in my eye; watch my face; he did that to me all because I don't want to talk to him or because I don't want to sleep with him. I will not sleep with anybody that is beating me because I am not punching bag. My mother didn't make me to be no punching bag and I have my rights."

Castillo says that the threats even extend to her children and she is fearful that it will escalate to something life threatening if the police don't act on it.
