In the early hours of September 22nd., the owner of Palm Island Nightclub was robbed by four armed men. A few days later one of his patrons was car-jacked in the club's parking lot.
Fifty year old Lance Bernard reported to police that he was leaving the club around 1:00 am on Saturday morning, and as he opened the door of his Ford Ranger pickup, a man struck him on the back of his head and he fell to the ground.
Bernard said that the man continued to hit him and drove off with his vehicle. The truck was later recovered on Dolphin Drive in the Buttonwood Bay Area.
