Weed Movements at Magistrate’s

She was trying to smuggle weed at the courthouse and today Twenty one year old Desiree Flowers was remanded for it.

She allegedly gave remanded prisoner Jamal Jackson 6.5 grams of cannabis wrapped in a twenty dollar note yesterday as he came out of the Magistrate's Court. She was charged with possession of a controlled drug when she appeared today in the Magistrate's Court. Flowers pleaded not guilty to the charge. Magistrate Dorothy Flowers offered her bail of seven hundred and fifty dollars, which she met. Her case was adjourned until November 8th.

The police reported that Flowers was seen handing Jackson the note when she hugged him. Police constable Japheth Young took the note from Jackson and reported that when he opened it he found the cannabis. Flowers was detained and charged.

Jackson and two others are charged with the murder of Nigerian National Kaluru Olugunduzu who was fatally stabbed at Biltmore Plaza Hotel on February 15th. Jackson was working at the hotel at the time. The other two remanded prisoners are 21 year old Kareem Stevens and 23 year old Daniel Myvett.
