Today two men accused of home invading a 69 year old city resident were taken to court.
Michael Matute Jr and Jerome Wade were charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary when they appeared today in the Magistrate's Court. Matute alone was charged with aggravated burglary. They pleaded not guilty to the charges. Magistrate Emmerson Banner explained that no bail is offered for such offences. He remanded them to prison until October 18.
As we reported, 69 year old Rosalind Munnings's home was invaded by two men who tied her up, and then ransacked the home stealing assorted jewelry and electronics valued in the thousands of dollars. Police recovered most of those items.
