Today Bak-a Bush/Chukka Tours held its first ever press conference to provide information so that the public knows more about the employees and the much maligned company.
But while we went in the hope of getting some substance, we found that it was merely a tedious publicity stunt, with testimonials of employees and partners.
And while one would think that issues plaguing tours industry would've been clearly addressed, this wasn't so. In responding to the statements at FECTAB's press conference last month of ' Chukka Tours and Bak-a-Bush being malicious and greedy', John Byles- of Chukka Caribbean Tours said:

"What we will say is that we believe in healthy competition. Where ever we go we welcome it, for us its good for a destination and we believe that its good for us as a company. So won't let it rest other than to say it's a business world and you see 230 employees here they are doing an amazing job that we are very proud of. And customers recognize it and as a result we get the business of what we get but that does not stop, every year there is a new contract, every year we have to sharpen our pencils and every year; every client that comes has to have that experience or it will move."
