But first to the news of a tragic accidental death. 61 year old Santa Elena Resident Neri Waight died yesterday around 4:00 in the evening when he tumbled out of a crane's bucket.
His wife today told us that Waight - who worked as the foreman for the Roberson property - was trimming a tree. One of the large limbs he was cutting proved especially difficult - and when he finally cut it, it fell on the bucket and threw him out. He crashed to the ground, crushed his skull and die don impact.
His wife told us that the father of 9 never wore a safety belt in the bucket because he was a naturally daring person.
