Former UDP Minister of government Dito Juan is recovering at home tonight after being brutally assaulted and robbed yesterday.
It happened yesterday evening around 4:30 at his farm in the Georgeville area. When Juan got to the gates of the farm, two men who had been trailing him, got out and beat up the 67 year old. According to his wife, they stole his wallet and his gun.
His wife tells us that he was not on his guard because he goes to the farm every morning and evening, so he did not expect any threat to arise.
The men were not masked but Juan was not familiar with them.
Apart from being badly bruised up, he suffered no major injury and no bones were broken.
