A-K Killer Marcus Moh Sentenced

He killed a man with an AK47, admitted to it, pleaded down to manslaughter and today Marcus Moh went back to court for sentencing.

Moh was convicted of the fatal shooting of fisherman Kirk Smith which occurred on October 10, 2008 about three to four miles from Turneffe Island.

Smith was shot several times with an AK47 assault rifle while he and two other men were diving for lobsters. Moh gave the police a caution statement and took them to a location near his camp at Turneffe and pointed out the weapon he used to kill Smith.

Moh, a fisherman of Sarteneja pleaded guilty to manslaughter on October 14th. Today Justice Adolph Lucas heard pleas for mitigation which stated that Moh has a wife and two children and that he had never been in any trouble before.

Lucas sentenced him to twenty years in prison.
