There was an armed robbery last night on Orange Street. It happened at Cosmetic Corner which is right in the middle of the strip of Indian retailers on Orange Street - the last remaining stores in the downtown area that still remain open on weeknights.
The M-O was familiar. Around 8:30 pm, two gunmen entered and one of them held a gun to the head of the clerk at the cash register. He did not put up resistance and the men got off with an undisclosed quantity of cash. The robbery was caught on security camera, but staffers declined to share it with us and told us it didn't really show the culprits clearly.
According to staff we spoke to today, the robbery is the third at the store. Our records indicate that the store was robbed in March and at that time two men were also involved.
