Executive Land Cruiser Turned Sea Cruiser
posted (November 3, 2010)
Two weeks ago we told you about the mishap with the Prime Minister's vehicle - when reports emerged that the executive Toyota Land Cruiser took a dip in the sea in front of the PM's home. It happened when the PM was out of the country but after we saw him skating around in a protocol vehicle last week, we had to ask the PM, did it really go into the sea?

Dean Barrow, Prime Minister
"When I was in Mexico it was park in front of the house and roll into the sea. All the water only came up to the running board but I think it affected some of the electrical wires that are on the floor board. It took a couple of days for that to be sorted out, no structural damage, nothing wrong with the engine so we are back in business."

His driver John Wilshire told us he left the vehicle in park in front of the house and was inside when a worker shouted to tell him that the vehicle had plunged front end first into the sea in front of the PM house. Wiltshire insisted it was in park - and if it was, we'd recommend calling the Toyota recall hotline.
