Yesterday evening around 5 - a 17 year old minor along with his mother visited the Mahogany Street police station where the minor reported to police - that he was working out at the Samuel Haynes basketball Court when 2 other minors approached him.
One of them took out a homemade shotgun, and handed it to the other- who then pointed it at the 17 year old boy. Quick police response led to the detention of both minors. One of them took police on Flamboyant Street, between Croton and Fern Lanes, where police found the homemade shotgun hidden under some tree branches on the ground. So far both minors are detained pending charges.
In other news, Police also recovered an m-16 rifle with 29 live rounds when it was handed in by a concerned citizen yesterday afternoon at 3:30.
