Two Years for Weapon He Claims He Found
posted (November 8, 2010)
Twenty five year old Jamar Gentle, an attendant at KHMH who said he found a .38 revolver while he was walking his dog on Princess Margaret Drive, was sentenced to two years for the firearm and two years for the five rounds of ammunition when he appeared today in the #2 Magistrate's Court and pleaded guilty to keeping the firearm and ammunition without a gun license.

But Gentle will only serve two years because the sentences are to run concurrently. The incident occurred around 6:40 a.m today.

The police reported that they were on mobile patrol on Princess Margaret Drive when they stopped and searched Gentle who was dressed in a red and black sweater and a black three quarter pants.

The search resulted in the discovery of a Smith and Wesson revolver in the left front pocket of Gentle's pants.

Gentle said he saw the revolver on the ground and he picked it up because he figured he could sell and make some money for Christmas.
