Thief Pleads Guilty

Twenty-six year old Selvin Seguro, an unemployed of Burrell Boom, was sentenced to four months today I the #8 Magistrate's Court after he pleaded guilty to handling stolen goods, one of the three offences he was charged with.

The other charges were aggravated burglary and theft which arose from two separate incidents.

The charge of handling stolen goods was for a Smart Modem phone that was stolen from Fiona Usher during a burglary of her house in Burrell Boom on September 29.

The aggravated burglary occurred on September 30.

Andre Verducci, the owner of Royal Palm Estate in Burrell Boom, reported to the police that he was knocked unconscious as he opened the front door of his house to go outside. Nothing was stolen.

The theft occurred between October 29 and November 4 where a canoe valued at $200 belonging to Ralph Stevens was stolen.

Seguro wanted to plead guilty to the other charges as well but he didn't agree with the facts.
