Damari Recovering Smartly

14 years old Damari Tesecum was one of 3 females seriously burnt in the village of Estrella - when an antenna she was helping to adjust - came in contact with a high tension electrical wire. 41 year old Leticia Vidal was electrocuted, while another - Rosaura Mia also received electrical burns and was treated at the Orange Walk hospital.

14 year old Damari received serious burns to 45% of her body and was flown out the country for treatment - where she has been hospitalized at Shirner's Children hospital in Galveston Texas.

Tonight we have an update on her condition.

Since the incident -she has received over 10 surgeries. One of her legs had to be amputated and also one of her fingers. But things have been looking up for the teenage girl over the past few months.

Damari has been recovering exceptionally well and is getting ready to return back to Belize in just a couple weeks. She also attended the World Burn Congress which was hosted in Galveston this year.
