No date has been set for the destruction of the 2,604 kilos or 5740 pounds of cocaine with a street value in Belize of about 60 million dollars.
After being tested, the drugs were transferred from the Punta Gorda police station yesterday and are being held in an undisclosed location at this time.
When the drugs are destroyed - the media will be called to witness the destruction as is always the case.
The place and time of the destruction is, for security reasons, a matter of the highest security.
The five police officers and one customs officer who police are trying to link with the drugs remain under investigation - as they have already been charged for possession of ammunition.
