Murder Case Falls Apart/Uncooperative Witnesses
posted (November 17, 2010)
A man charged with murder got off 'scot free' after the prosecution's case folded due to un-cooperative witnesses. Roger Wagner was charged with killing Griffith Green, Jr. on December 28th, 2008 but after both witnesses for the prosecution testified they did not see what happened, the jury was instructed by Justice Adolph Lucas to find Wagner not guilty.

The reports were that Green and a friend, Wayne Rock were riding bicycles on Racoon Street extension, and upon reaching Central American boulevard, gunshots rang out, and Green was shot in his lower back.

It is alleged that Green and Wagner had gotten into an altercation at BTL park earlier that day.

In testifying for the prosecution, Rock said he heard the gunshots, but did not see the shooter. Trevor Flowers, the other man who testified for the prosecution, said he was pressured by the police to give a caution statement that implicated Wagner.

Wagner was represented by Attorney Simeon Sampson, whilst the prosecution was represented by Senior Crown Counsel, Yohhanseh Cave.
