Can’t Knock The Hustle

46 year old EDWARD MARTINEZ - he's the brother of works minister Boots Martinez and an Administrator for the Ministry of Works. He told police he caught a contractor hustling off post hurricane rebuilding.

He reported that CRISPIN LINO was hired to fix the roof of a home at #8 Simon Lamb Street, in Belize City. Must have been a mansion because Lino signed out 50 sheets of zinc, and 74 pieces of assorted lumber from the Ministry of Works Warehouse at 3 miles on the Western Highway.

Martinez said that on 6th December, 2010 when he went to check on the building, he noted that only (30) sheets of zinc and 24 pieces of lumber had been used. Martinez told police that (20) sheets of zinc and 31 pieces of lumber valued at $1,128.38 could not be accounted for.

Police report that they have detained CRISPIN LINO, 54 yrs, construction worker of Malcolm St, Belize City pending investigations.
