Thirty two year old Everal Tablada, a warehouse keeper who allegedly had sex with a 13 year old girl, was charged with carnal knowledge when he appeared today in Magistrate's Court.
He was denied bail because of the nature of the offense and chief magistrate Margaret Mckenzie remanded him into custody until January 28th, 2011.
The incident occurred between December 4 and 5. The 13 year old, primary school student, reported to the police that she met Tablada at BTL park and he took her to his apartment on Neal's Pen Road.
She said she spent the whole night with him. When the girl went home her mother questioned her and she told her mother she had spent the night with Tablada. Tablada's mother said that her son told her that the girl gave her age as 16 going on 17.
