Today police formally charged and arrested 19 year old Ronald Richard Bradley of Belize City for the murder of prison warden -Miriam Gillett. Additionally, Bradley was charged with the crimes of used of deadly means of harm- grievous harm-dangerous harm and attempted murder upon prison officers Silvano Cal and Ernest Savery.
The ruthless, murderous ambush happened on October 15th of this year. The 3 Prison Officers had just left work - at the Belize Central Prison and were travelling on the Boom Hattieville Road when they came under a spray of gunfire. Miriam Gillett was shot to the head and died on the spot. Her coworker Ernest Savery - who was the alleged target - was shot to the neck and Silvan Cal to the foot.
Savery's brother Eric Ghetto Fab Savery Lewis was killed twenty days later…
