Ladyville Cops Nab Robbers
posted (December 24, 2010)
Armed robberies are all too common around Christmas-time - and every night, we air reports of some gunman swooping in to an establishment and getting off with the cash.

And that would have been the same story tonight were it not for some tight police work - which has four men detained tonight.

The holdup occurred this morning at E-Buy Supermarket in Ladyville when Bowen And Bowen delivery man Walter Sosa was delivering soft drinks. A lone gunman walked up behind him = put a revolver type weapon to the back of his head and demanded all his money. Sosa handed over in excess of two thousand dollars. A second robber then went on to rob the store owner Jiau Toa Yang of an undisclosed amount. The pair escaped in a a green jeep Cherokee.

Normally, that's where the story ends, but quick police work led to their interception at the checkpoint in front of Vista Del Mar.

Police found Roger Hernandez and Roger Bowen in the car while a dark complexion male dashed out of the vehicle and escaped. The good police work continued as Ladyville police called their Belize City counterparts who caught up with two other mean in Belize City who had an undisclosed amount of cash in their possession. They are Wababa Noralez and Jordin Jourgenson. All four are detained pending charges.
