"I was already sleeping and my I was waken when my son knock on the door and he was just like 'mom, mom' and I came outside and when I came outside he told me fire, fire. When I look I just saw the fire already going up like towards the ceiling and I just try to put it out with some water."

Jim Mcfadzean
"Did you determine where the flames were coming from?"

Carla Gamboa, Fire victim
"The flames were in the back of the house between the room and the kitchen, I am not certain because it was already up in the ceiling and I just try to get some water, I went to get water but there was no water so I could do anything. I just decide to take the baby and we came out the house."

Jim Mcfadzean
"By then had anybody call the fire department?"

Carla Gamboa, Fire victim
"Well at that time I just came out leaving everything inside, I wasn't able to save anything, my phones were on the bed because that's what I use to make me up in the morning - the alarm so I already had that on the bed, but when I came outside I didn't know it was a fire so i just came out to see what my son wanted, I didn't bring out anything, I wasn't prepared. and then after I realize I could put out it so I just pick up the baby, I notice the fire was going out of control, I pick her up and he came out the house. When we came out apparently the neighbors had already seen the fire, the smoke coming out the house everybody was already coming out and they were saying they were trying to call me on my phone."

Jim Mcfadzean
"So did anybody get injured in the process beside you?"

Carla Gamboa, Fire victim
"Well my son got his right hand scorch from the shoulder down."

Jim Mcfadzean
"How did you get burn?"

Carla Gamboa, Fire victim
"What happen I was trying to put out the fire, I notice I was unable to so I decide to come out the house. That was when I get scorch."

Jim Mcfadzean
"Where are your injuries?"

Carla Gamboa, Fire victim
"Ok, on my right hand, this is the scorch, I receive a sprain hand because I fell, my wrist is sprain and then my foot got cuts because the louvers that fell out on the step, I could find my shoe or anything because what I did was turn the lights off. I told my son to turn the switch off and so coming out I just step on something because I couldn't find anything for my foot."

Jim Mcfadzean
"Do have any suspicions as to what may have caused the fire?"

Carla Gamboa, Fire victim
"I have no suspicions; I didn't know what have caused it."

Jim Mcfadzean
"Did your son say how he first discovered the fire?"

Carla Gamboa, Fire victim
"We didn't really talk because then everybody was just trying to get out and he was just crying so we just haven't talk about it."

We were unable to get comment from Fire Officials on what might have caused the fire. Gamboa says while the structure is insured, none of the contents were.
