The man accused of killing Carlos Espat was arraigned in Magistrate's Court today. 22 year old Nicaraguan Silvio Javier Espinosa - an unemployed residing at 5567 Gentle Avenue was charged with murder when he appeared in the #1 Magistrate's Court.
Chief Magistrate Mckenzie had to speak to Espinosa through an interpreter. He was remanded for eight says in the first instance and is to return to court on January 14th.
47 year old Espat - the elder brother of Albert Area Representative Mark Espat - was killed in his Albert Street Apartment on September fourth. He was clubbed to death. No signs of forced entry were found at the residence.
