Calling All Ballers…

If you've got a crew, a group, a squad or a team that plays basketball and you're under 17, or under 15 - you'll definitely want to get involved with the Belize Basketball Federation's National U15 and U17 basketball tournaments this month.

Registration and uniforms are free and the tournaments are being staged in all districts including the Capital City. Today President of the Federation - Paul Thompson, told Seven News how your team can get involved:

"Sponsorship from Belize Telemedia, the Belize basketball Federation will be conducting a national male u-15 tournament and a national male u-17 tournament. In each district there will be this competition happening and then it will go a regional tournament and then a national tournament. The cost of registering your team is free; all teams will receive free uniform caps and receive a basketball. This will start at 29 of January. We have provisions for 12 u-15 teams and 12 u-17 teams in the Belize district and for the districts it is 6 u-15 and 6 u-17 teams so slots are available still so please if you are interested as a club, as a neighborhood, as a school please register with your local district association."

For those interested in taking part in the U 15 and U 17 Basketball tournaments - application forms can be picked up at any Telemedia office countrywide.
