Money Changer Shot In Ranchito
posted (February 8, 2011)
A money changer from Ranchito Village is in the Belize Medical Associates Hospital tonight after being shot at his home last night.

Last night at 7:45 34 year old Jaime Headman was at home with his wife Elva when she heard someone calling outside. She went to check and saw a hispanic man outside their closed gate. She called her husband to see who it was and when he got outside, the man shot him.

Elva Headman told police that when she ran outside, she saw the Hispanic man get into a red truck and speed off, while her husband was lying on the verandah with multiple gunshot injuries.

He was rushed to the Corozal Community Hospital and then taken to the KHMH where police say he is in a critical but stable condition.

The family declined comment today.
