"The Tumakat is a cultural exchange between Mexico and Belize. As you know we have a great relationship with Mexico and
so we have identified Tumakat contemporary dance group and of course we at the institute of creative art and the national institute of culture and history is geared towards youth performances. As you could remember, we did the Ozzy and friend performances that toured through Belize and so we are trying to follow in that foot step."
"What it does it ties into our street art festivals of course you know that we will be doing a street art festival Saturday and this will introduce the IICA Nich calendar to the public and get them to know what is the bliss all about. What is the institute of creative art, what we are all about, what Nich does and we are opening it up and basically an open house to the public, and we are inviting the artist, we are having artist participations, through the streets of Belize, we are having food courts - children corners, and so this ties into going into our 2011-2012 calendar."
The TUMAKAT tour started today in Benque and Belmopan; and goes to Orange Walk tomorrow; Caye Caulker on Friday; San Pedro on Saturday and then Belize City on Sunday at the Bliss Center.
