On Friday night in Belize city - three shootings happened between 8:30 and 9:30 - two of them were fatal and two of the victims were teenagers.
The first to be shot was Shamir Medina. At 8:20, the 19 year old was riding his bicycle in the Plues street area when he was shot multiple times to the chest and abdomen area.
He survived and was rushed to the KHMH - but only managed to hold on for eight hours: he died at 5:00 the next morning.
The Berkeley Street resident - who is associated with the George Street gang, had gotten off a murder charge 7 weeks earlier.
We tried to speak to his family multiple times, but they were not at their residence today.
And then, at 9:25 pm - in what the streets say is an act of retaliation for the Median Shooting - there was a shooting in the area of the city controlled by the South Side Gangsters - which is on Caesar Ridge Road. The 9 millimeter bullet found a target all right, except it wasn't in any gangster, it was in the head of a 14 year old from the neighborhood.

It happened at the corner of Caesar Ridge and Kraal Road - around nine thirty on Friday night. 14 year old Devon Reynolds was gun down not too far away from his home.
His neighbors say they heard about seven gun shots went off - 3 of which caught the teenager in his head.
He died instantly.
His body was put into the pan of this police pickup truck and taken away through the city street- to the morgue.
14 year old Reynolds was a first year student of Tubal Vocational school. His dream of becoming a certified mechanic was taken away on Friday night when he became just another crime statistic in the City.
His mother, still shaken up from what happened asked to appear off camera.
She told us today that she had just sent her son out into the neighborhood to go look for his.
Fearing for her life in a crime stricken area, 14 year old Devon was to go meet up with her - instead, he became the target.

"Like not too long after he left from here - I was sitting in my room watching television with my husband and I just heard all these gunshots - about 7 gunshots. The first thing that came to my mind - I said I hope it not my son because I know I just sent him out there and just a couple seconds later while I was still in shock i just heard all the screaming and everyone crying out saying that's its Devon. The first person that went out there was my husband and my oldest son - they ran out. Then my mom came for me and I went and all I saw was my son lying on the ground with three gunshots to his head. It was so sad because my son have not done anything to anybody."
It is said that the gunmen exited from a small car that was seen parked in the neighborhood.

"A friend of his told me that they saw a black or grey car circling the neighborhood not too long before the shooting and that the car was park up the street right on Kraal Road where we live a little up past Caesar Ridge Road. They say that they saw the car park with their two back door open and at the same time my so was coming and apparently the guys came out and approach my son and I guess my son saw that they had a gun and he try to divert from them and he ran into the field to try to come around to come home but the two guys came out with gun shooting after my son while he was running and they shot him and he fell and when he fell they just came over him and shoot him in his head like three times and they say that the two guys just ran back to the car and the car left."

"My other son said that when he saw Devon he said that he saw blood coming from his back and his side so they think that it was probably because of the shots that he got to the back that he fell and that's when they had the chance to shoot him in his head."
An hour before the shooting of 14 year old Devon Reynolds - there was another shooting on George Street.
This has left many to believe that it was some sort of retaliation- but in this case, an innocent life was taken.

"After he was shot we heard that there was a shooting around George Street and that they had some boys who were retaliating and they came around here to just look for somebody to shoot and it just so happen that my son was out there because we sent him out there."
And this mother is one more added on the list of grieving mothers who has lost all hope in today's justice system. And so too, like many others, she has left justice to God.

"The way the system is right now is I know that the persons that did this to my son will never be caught but in due time God will deal with this and God said just leave everything up to him and he will take care of everything so I believe in that and they are the ones who have to live with that knowing that they took a good person from this earth. He didn't deserve that, he was such a good person. The person that did this don't know the good person that they took away and how much they are going to hurt so much people because he was such a good person he never did anything to anybody. I just feel so bad knowing that I am the one who sent him out there. But all I can say is that he didn't deserve to die like that. "
One expended shell was recovered from the scene and police have made no arrests….
