He was killed in his car, just like 20 year old taxi-man Luis Ramos was last night. Monica Bodden has the story:…

20 year old Luis Ramos - a taxi cab driver - was found murdered around 11:30 last night - inside his 1994, 4 door - dark green Toyota Camry.

His car was parked on the left hand side of Prince Street - with the front left tire punctured and damages to the left fender and bumper.

He was found seated on the driver's seat with a gunshot wound to the right side of his neck.

"I was sleeping at the time when they came to the door, nobody else was here. Then they call me telling me that someone had just kill him."

Ramos has been a cab driver for the past 4 years and works out at the Belize Taxi Association on Albert Street - right in front of the Commercial Center.

Today his family is trying to understand what may have gone wrong - and why someone would want to take the life of this young man.

"I do not understand how my grandson die in that way."

"Did he had any enemies? Did anyone dislike him?"

"A lot of people know him because he had a lot of friends."

Other cab drivers from the same association as Ramos - mentioned to the family that someone was asking specifically for his taxi services last night.

"Now you mention to me earlier that his colleagues out at the taxi stand said that someone was asking for him specific for taxi services."

Sister
"Yes they didn't want the other taxi; they wanted him, for him to take them at some street around this area. Then like 5 minutes after someone told his colleagues at the taxi stand that they just kill a taxi man."

"So you think he was targeted?"

Sister
"Yes."

Police haven't detained anyone so far…..
