Caribbean Foreign Ministers Meet In Belize
posted (March 31, 2011)
Caribbean ministers of foreign affairs and trade will convene in Belize tomorrow for the Eighteenth Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Caribbean Forum of African, Caribbean and Pacific States known as CARIFORUM.

Today, in advance of that session, senior officials met at the Radisson, to hammer out technical matters. CARIFORUM, constitutes all the CARICOM Member States, plus Cuba and the Dominican Republic.

It is expected that in the margins of the meeting, the Barbadian and Jamaican foreign ministers will discuss a prickly issue of the movement of Jamaican nationals into Barbados, as one Jamaican woman claims she was sexually assaulted during a search by Barbadian Immigration authorities.
