posted (April 5, 2011)
Twenty Year old Inmar Welch, a labourer of Mahogany Heights who was stabbed in his abdomen several days after he allegedly committed 3 robberies, was charged with 3 counts of robbery when he appeared yesterday in the #1 Magistrate's Court.

Welch, whose midsection was heavily bandaged, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Chief Magistrate Margaret McKenzie explained to him that the court cannot offer him bail because the offenses were committed with a firearm. She remanded him into custody until June 6.

The robberies occurred on March 18 at Plastic Packaging Supply Company located on Tigris Street.

Eiseo Rosado, an employee of the company, reported to the police that while he was at work a gunman along with others robbed him and his wife, Celina, at gunpoint. Eiseo said they stole his gold chain with a crucifix medal, his gold wedding ring with diamond and his gold bracelet. Celina said they stole her two cell phones and $250. Eisio also reported that they stole $230, the property of the Plastic Packaging Supply Company.

Welch was stabbed 3 times in his abdomen while he was at Winstop Restaurant.
