GSU Again!
posted (April 19, 2011)
The Gang Suppression Unit came up with three guns over the weekend - and this morning they descended on George Street. An early morning search of an abandoned building on George street yielded a magazine for an M-16 machine gun, loaded with twenty five live rounds along with three and a half ounces of cannabis. No one was in the area and all items seized were labeled as Found Property.

Earlier on during that search, at 4:40 a.m., the search team found 11.8 grams of crack cocaine at the residence of Karim Westby also a resident of George Street. Police say they found the crack cocaine in one of Westby's socks. Westby was charged for Drug Trafficking and in court today, pleaded not guilty to the charge and was released on a bail of six thousand dollars.

Also during that search the team found an empty 9 millimeter magazine and a silencer for a 9mm pistol in an empty lot. A weed plant was also found next to it. No one was in the area and all items were kept and labeled as Found Property.
