Sports Council Still Not Satisfied With FFB
posted (April 27, 2011)
Will sanctions be lifted form the Football Federation of Belize? As we told you last week, under pressure from the Sports Council, the FFB finally sent in its registration information as it is required, by law, to do annually. That was reviewed at a meting of the Sports Council yesterday, and guess what, it's not enough.

According to Director Of the Sports Council Patrick Henry, they are requesting further information from the FFB. The governing body for football in Belize has to submit minutes of its last general assembly showing how the current executive was duly elected. The FFB also has to submit its financial statements, all of which Henry says, are required by the Sports Act.

Henry says he verbally informed the General Secretary yesterday and sent it off in writing today. He says the FFB has a week to comply.

Henry added that there are some other national federations that they are similarly working with to get their registration process up to speed
