And Antelope Street would remain hot - because on Monday morning before dawn there was another murder - just a few hundred feet away from where the first one occurred.
It happened when a group of six people were attacked in a drive by while taking a leisurely early morning walk home.
Alain Idolly Zelaya along with JOSEPH MYERS, MARY LOBO, DORIS MCLAREN, SHANIQUA BUDNA and a 15-year old female were walking on Antelope Street - 200 feet from where Friday's double murder occurred - when at the corner of Elston Kerr Street two men each armed with handguns resembling 9mm pistols opened fire on them.
When the gunfire subsided 39 year old female Alain Zelaya was dead, while Joseph Meyers and Mary Lobo had been shot.
7news was there as police had to cart away one more body - and today her mother Chloe Payne told us what she believes happened:….

"My daughter went to a "christening" at her sister and went to Palm Island club at 11pm. What happen is that according to one of the young lady, she met us at the hospital and told us that they went to Palm Island after the christening, and then they went to see if "Squeeze" was open, but it was close, then she ended up at the gas station buying gunk food. They were on their way home at the time she got shot."

"How many gunmen do you know of?"
Chloe Payne, mother
"Well i don't know of any. Just that a young lady told us that she got."

"They didn't explain to you the actual event how she got shot?"
Chloe Payne, mother
"No, we don't know."
Monica Bodden
"You think that she may have been walking with the intended target?"
Chloe Payne, mother
"I don't know because she is a person that don't mess around and don't go anywhere, so I don't know."
JOSEPH MYERS was admitted in a stable condition and MARY LOBO was treated and released.
In this case police know very clearly who they are looking for, namely three men who are well known to them.
Additionally, they believe the target was another well known crime figure who escaped unhurt.
So far only a female taxi driver - who allegedly drove the getaway car has been detained.
