Hooligan And Horse Busted

Two well known Belize city men were busted by the Gang suppression unit this weekend. On Sunday At 8:45 am, GSU in the St Martins De Pores Area acting upon information, set chase after a blue Kia Sportage - from which the driver allegedly tossed two bags out the window. They finally caught up with the vehicle on Caesar Ridge Road where the driver and sole occupant 29 year old Jermaine Garnett known as HORSE, was shown the bags with 232.4 grams of cannabis - about half a pound. Police claim that he said he "slipped up". He charged for drug trafficking.

About an hour and a half later, around 11:15 am, the GSU made another major bust when they intercepted a red and grey van driven by Elvis BEVANS known as Hooligan, the 39 year old brother of the recently deceased Raymond Killa Gentle. A search revealed one chrome and black, 9 mm Sig Sauer Brand pistol with an extended magazine which contained thirteeen 9 mm rounds. BEVANS was arrested and charged for Kept firearm without a gun license, kept ammunition without a gun license and Kept Prohibited Material.
