posted (May 30, 2011)
And while Belcan was stripped, Kamesha Gaynair was robbed at gunpoint. That happened to quite a few people in the city this weekend - and while she didn't lose anything of great value, she did lose all her i-d cards on the way from the Supa G Peace Concert. It occurred near her mother house in the Lake Independence Area….

"On Aloe Vera Street which my mom lives on this guy came up from behind me and put his arms around my shoulders and a gun on this side of my face and said 'don't make any noise or else I will kill you, I want this bag' which was my shoulder purse. I got scared and didn't know what to do so he pull it off me and he ran away. Times are hard in Belize, I am not working, I am struggling just as they are but I not robbing people. I just want them to return belongings. They can keep the phone and the $30 credit I am sure they have used it already. Just please return my documents to Tow Tow or the news stations or anywhere public."

Anyone with information can call her family at 626-0928 or 601-5358…

Another armed robbery happened in the Lake Indpendence Area on Sunday evening. Harvester Solomon, a vendor reported that while in the Complex Area, he was approached by a man who pointed a firearm at him and robbed him of $298.00.
