The Protests Continue
posted (June 13, 2011)
But, with or without the BBOC, the BBA is till agitating. On Saturday, they will participate in a demonstration organized by COLA with participation of The Belizeans For Justice.

COLA President Moses Sulph caught us in traffic today and told us about it:…

Moses Sulph, President - COLA
"Basically on Wednesday along with the BBA and a couple other organizations; Belizeans for Justice - we are holding a march, a demonstration. We want to highlight certain issues - if you are out there and you are unemployed we want you to come out; if you are affected by the unemployment rate come out; if you are affected by poverty come out. We are saying that what we want to do is keep a sustain appearance on the issue, so that the issues can be look at and continue to be the front burner and not just one protest and then it goes away. We are saying we want to sustain this so that the government can pay attention and understand that it needs to deal with these issues and when those issues are dealt with then it is possible from then we can relinquish the stride that we are doing."

The event starts at 9:30 from the Constitution Park and will go over BEL-China unto Albert Street, turn at the Belize Bank, head over the bridge and end at Memorial Park.
