Glenn Tillett Charged For Handling: Is His Nephew To Blame?
posted (August 3, 2011)
Journalist and talk show host, Glenn Tillett, and his 20 year old step-daughter were charged with handling stolen goods in Belmopan today. This is after a search on his Belize City home on Campus Avenue turned up a pair of computers that police say were stolen from the El Salvadoran Embassy.

Both Tillett and the 20 year old were detained last night, transferred to Belmopan where they spent the night in police custody, and today they were arraigned on charges of handling stolen goods and both are free on bail this evening.

But Tillett wasn't released from police custody; he was released from the Western Regional hospital after his blood pressure went dangerously high.

According to the 20 year old's mother Rhenae Nunez - who is out of the country - they are the victims of an 18 year old male cousin who went to the house on Saturday and asked if he could store some computer equipment there for his mother. He did and somehow police got word of it and searched the home last night where they found the stolen items.

The burglary occurred at the end of July when the Embassy in the Cohune Walk Area, was burglarized. The thieves stole a four door 2007 Toyota Hilux with 3 computers, printers and accessories, and a digital Camera. The pickup was found on Sunday night in Orange Walk and police detained Tyrel Hyde and Brian Hyde, both from Roaring Creek along with Sheldon Pascascio from Orange Walk.

Tyrel Hyde is the cousin who allegedly deposited the stolen computers at the Tillett home.
