Coughs Up Crack
posted (August 5, 2011)
Today in court, a Belize City cosmetologist pleaded guilty to drug possession after she was forced to cough up point-four (0.4) grammes of crack cocaine.

Yesterday evening at 5:00 pm, the Gang Suppression Unit searched the home of 36 year old Daisy Tillett who lives in Taylor's Alley. They said that when they got to the door, they saw that she had something in her mouth. The police reported that they tried to get the items from Tillett's mouth and a struggle ensued. Eventually, they say Tillett spat out four small pebbles of crack cocaine - which weighed 0.4 grammes.

It's an infinitesimally small amount - a fraction of an ounce, but it's still illegal and today in court she pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled drug. Magistrate Dorothy Flowers fined her $500.00 and gave her until September fifth to pay.
